    Hello,

I bought a copy of Dorothy Sayers’ essay, The Lost Tools of Learning, in approximately early March 2020, from, I think, Bookshop.org. It’s a small blue paperback with a black fleur de lis on the cover with the title THE LOST TOOLS OF LEARNING in white, followed by the author’s name in black and GLH publishing in white, and the ISBN on the back cover is 978-1-941129-86-9.

I was very surprised to see that the back half of the book is indeed Lost Tools, but the first half is THE BOOK OF THE LAW, by Aleister Crowley. The beginning of this section says “Originally printed privately, Turin, 1925. This edition by Owlfoot Press, Ravenstall, 2018 and the end carries a QR code and reads “CPSIA information can be obtained at http://www.ICGtesting.com. Printed in the USA” followed by a series of two long numbers and a bar code with the number 9781723783777 which did not come up when I searched it as an ISBN.

This was quite unsettling as I ordered and wanted to read an important treatise on Christian classical education, not a founding document of the Church of Satan. The book arrived the day before I left on vacation so after flipping through it, puzzled and disquieted, and set it on a high shelf. I forgot about it until now, when I came across it while rearranging my library, and my curiosity about it was refreshed.

I googled GLH publishing to try to find out where the weird hybrid book had originated, and found your website, and thought I’d reach out to ask if you could tell me anything about how or why this book, with bizarre occult material inserted without comment into a book containing completely different content, was produced. I’m mostly just curious at this point, as I did contact Bookshop.org who refunded my purchase and then bought another Dorothy Sayers book which contained the essay I wanted. There is no problem to solve; just a mystery I am wondering about. Anything you can tell me, I would receive with interest.

    Thank you,

    Mrs. Erika Reily

Greetings. The website instructions invite us to use this form to suggest two corrections to an ebook. Though not an ebook, I’d like to point out two needed corrections in GLH’s printed booklet entitled “Keys to the Deeper Life” by A. W. Tozer (GLH Publishing reprint, 2019):
    1) On page 12 of the booklet ‘heart’ surely should be ‘hart’ (He panted after God as the heart/[hart] pants after the waterbrook …)
    2) On page 21 ‘he’ should be ‘be’ ( … Who claimed to he/[be] God … )

Thank you for reprinting “Keys to the Deeper Life”.
